SCAVENGER HUNT - TUESDAY, JULY 19TH: There will be a scavenger hunt for boys and girls 7 to 17 years of age commencing at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19th. All partici- pants are to meet in the large meeting room of the Recreation Centre at 1:00 p.m. to xeceive instructions and list of objects to be ob- tained. © "MOM & TOT" SWIM PROGRAMME: The Recreation Department is pleased to announce that a "Mom and Tot" programme will be offered again this year. The programme will begin on Monday, July 18th, and terminate on August 12th. The registration fee for this programme is $3.00 per child. If you are interested in registering for tHis programme, be sure to pick up a form at the Recreation Office and register prior to 5:00 p.m., this Friday, July 15th: Sessions will be held Monday through Friday starting at 12:00 noon. GAMES ROOM: Commencing this Wednesday, July 13th, the last hour of operation (9 to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 8 to 9 p.m. Sunday), the Games Room will be restricted for those 16 years of age and over. THIS WILL BE DONE ON A TRIAL BASIS ONLY. Apparently a number of teen -agers over the age of 16 have expressed con- cern about smaller children being in the Games Room and utilizing Games Room equipment. MINOR BALL SUMMARY: The 1977 Minor Ball crests have arrived and the Recreation Office has been in contact with all coaches regarding distribution of same. The following volunteers are to be thanked publicly for their assistance in this year's successful 1977 Ball programme: Pauletts Gordon, Fay Figliomeni, Judy Moher, Charles Wise, Ed Sheridan, Ted Hanley, Bob Scott, David Ramsay and Danny Fournier. Results in the various leagues were: Girls' .league - Expos declared winners; American League = Blue Jays declared winners; Yankees second place and Red Sox third place; Interna- . tional league - Whips declared winners. ADULT SWIM INSTRUCTION: . The Recreation Office has received a number of requests regarding adult swim instruction. Any adults wishing to receive informal lessons may simply attend the adult swim session which' is held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Fridays, and the Manager or Assistant Manager who is on duty will be prepared to introduce skills to assist adults in their swimming ability.
