MAY 11, 1977 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 2 McCAUSLAND BURSARY This year there will be one recipient of a $300.00 bursary from the McCausland Bursary fund. All students of Lake Superior High School, graduating this spring, and continuing their education next fall in any institution off higher learning, is eligible for this bursary. To apply for the bursary, a letter stating your intention to continue your education, ~ where you will be going to school and the cour- Ses you will be taking is required. In addit- ion your marks of the last semester you attend- ed should be included. This letter is to be. sent to Mr. J. Ferguson, General Delivery, Terrace Bay, and must be received by the end of May. The recipient of the award will be notified by mail after the graduation exercises this spring. The announcement will be made at gra- duation as well. The bursary itself will be sent to the stu- dent upon notification of acceptance by the institution the student will attend. The trustees of the fund with Dr. McCaus- land as consultant will award the bursary to the student most deserving, showing high aca- demic standing and demonstrating the effec- tiveness of effort and ability. On April 15a, + the En to Birchwood Terrace and Pinewood Court held their monthly meeting in the beard room of Birchwood. The Schreiber Kinettes held a bingo for the residents in the recreation room on April 13. Hostesses were: Lurleen Blais, Darlene Zroback, and Edythe Cosgrove. On April 27th, the Anglican Church ladies made their monthly visit bringing in delicious home baking for the afternoon tea. The Women's Institute of Schreiber made a visit on April 28th bringing in an assortment ° of sandwiches for tea. They presented Mrs. Bryson with a number of gifts. The Eastern Star put on a birthday party in the recreation room on April 28th in honour of Mrs. Bryson's ninety-first birthday. All residents were invited to help Mrs: Bryson enjoy her delicious cake and lunch was served by the ladies of the Lodge.
