The programme began at 09 15 with opening. welcome and remarks by the Director of Educa- tion, Mr. P.M. Gillen. The teachers then pro- ceeded to one of the following workshops for the morning: the primary teachers to, "The Slides, Flips, Turns and Jumps of Mathematics", with Anne Wilkes; the intermediate teachers to, ° "Exploring Sound", with Betty Hanley, and the special education teachers-to, "Transformation Geometry", with Ed McCluskey; librarians to, "Book Banter!, with Emma Molinski; French tea- chers to, "Share Your Stuff", with Gerry Rhodes, and special education teachers to, "Analysis of Reading Errors", with Brian Pet- ers. MAY 11, 1977 "=f The afternoon concluded with musical enter- ' tainment provided by the St. Martin School Choir which performed, A Canadian Collage, and by the Ukulele Club which played and sang, "I Believe in Music" and "Five Foot TwQ". For the final song, the audience had a special Se treat - the teachers who had attended the Uku- lele workshop in the morning joined the stu- dents in playing "He's Got the Whole World", with everyone invited to sing-a-long. Judging by the smiles and comments made by the teachers in attendance, the day appears to have been a profitable one for all involved.
