PAGE 10 TERRACE BAY NEWS MAY 11, 1977 HOSPITAL NOTES: ANNUAL MFETING Continued: Nominating Committee of Board - The Nominating Committee consisting of Mrs. Dorothy Rummery and Mrs. Margaret Puttock nom- inated Mr. Gary Jung, Financial Analyst from Kimberly-Clark and Mr. Cliff Poole, Sales Man=- ager from Kimberly-Clark to replace'the term- inating Board members, Shirley Mikus and Wil- liam Houston. To complete the 2 year term of office vacated by Mr. Bruce Tilbury and the late Mr. George King, the Board approved ap- pointment of Mr. Alex Krystia and Cyril Sparkes of the town of Schreiber for 1 year term. Mrs. Puttock and . Wills let their names stand for another two year term. As there were no nominations from the floor it was moved by Mrs. Anna McKie and seconded by Mrs. Helen Farrell that the nominations . cease. CARRIED. Mr. Gary Jung and Cliff Poole were elected by acclamation for a 2 year term. The following Board members presented them- selves to the Membership: Mr. Gary Jung, Cliff Poole, Alex Krystia and Cyril Sparkes, and expressed their happiness in being elected. Adjournment - n Mrs. Rena McAdam, Chairman of the Board, thanked the four (4) scrutineers - doorkeepers Mrs. Colleen Gauthier, Mrs. Lynn Boon, Mrs. Joan Nugent and Mrs. Gurbachen Sidhu for their assistance at the Annual Meeting and thanks went out to the Hospital Auxiliary for the refreshments. ; It was moved by Mr. John McEwen and second- ed by Mr. Cliff Poole that the Annual Meeting of April 19th, 1977 be adjourned at 10:00 p.m. Coffee and donuts were served by the Hospi- tal Auxiliary and the floor plans studied. "~"POLICE REPORT 2-8 MAY 1977 The Terrace Bay Police Force was called upon to investigate twenty-nine occurrences during the period May 2nd to 8th. Three local young people were charged in connection with the Break and Enter of the High School on April 30th. All three were charged with Break, Enter and committing mis- chief and will appear in court on 12 May 1977. On May 4th, two large stones were thrown through the rear window of Robinson Stores and damage has been estimated at apprexinately,. $50.00. During the late evening of May 5th, 'a local youth smashed a large window in the Recreation Centre. This young man has been charged with mischief and being in possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace and will appear in court on 12 May. "Week from 15-21 May. Police are attempting to eliminate some of the damage being done to the lawn in the park and other green belt areas within the townsite. As a result six motorcycle operators have been charged with various offences under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. The. public is invited to drop into the pol- ice office anytime during the day when the Terrace Bay Police observe National Police It is hoped that a pro- gram can be arranged for any group interested in touring the police office. More information will follow in the next edition of the Terrace Bay News. BALLARD: Mr. Harvey Ballard, age 68 years, of Oregon 'passed away in hospital on May lst, 1977. Born in-Grand Forks, North Dakota, he is survived by his wife, Elaine; sons - Leonard of Toketa, Oregon, Harvey of Lebenon, Oregon and Albert, San Jose, California; daughters - Sylvia (Mrs. L. Duquette) Terrace Bay and Francis (Mrs. D. Wagner) Anchorage, Alaska; twelve grand children and one great grand child, Rested at King Funeral Home and the funeral was held at St. Martins Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 4th with Rev.
