TERRACE BAY NEWS THEATRE LAB ENJOYED BY ALL On April I4th, the Lake Superior Public School in Terrace Bay and Schreiber invited the staff and students from St. Martin's and Holy Angel's Separate Schools to enjoy per- formances of Aladdin and His Magic Lamp. Actors. from the Studio Lab Theatre working out of Toronto were in Terrace Bay in the midst of a twenty-two stop tour. Aladdin. and His Magic Lamp is a rock mus- ical for children with adult actors. At one point during the performances several drade two students were invited on stage to assist one of the actresses only to be frightened away by the fierce looking village policeman. The performances in Terrace Bay and Schreiber were thoroughly enjoyed by the staff and students alike. - The Studio Lab Theatre operates under grants from the Ontario Arts Council. App- arently the availability of grants next year is doubtful at this time. Letters to the Council encouraging the promotion of groups such as the Studio Lab Theatre would be dir- ectly beneficial to communities such as ours.
