PAGE IO TERRACE BAY NEWS DISTRICT #7 LOYAL ORDER OF MOOSE CURLING BONSPIEL On February 25th, 26th and 27th, the Terrace Bay Lodge 1752 hosted the District curling playdowns. A total of twenty-four teams from all surrounding areas attended. On Saturday evening, a supper was held in the Lodge catered to by the Women of the Moose. A dance followed. i On Sunday these were the winners announced. The champion- ship was won by C. Zappilelli from Ignace Lodge. The following teams were the A Division winners: First - B. McCollum, Thunder Bay S; Second - McFee, Sioux Lookout; Third - Perozak, Thunder Bay S. In the B Division the winners were: First H. Hermes, Terrace Bay; Second - T. Greg, Thunder Bay N; Third - D. Colbom, Thunder Bay N; Fourth - L. Brown, Atikokan. In the C. Division the winnefs were: First H. Harden, Thunder Bay N; Second =- Gillies, Thunder Bay S; Third - C. Ferguson, Thunder Bay Ny Fourth - P. Whalen, Sioux Lookout. Special awards were presented as follows: Best Bonspieler - T. Greg, Thunder Bay N. Best Local Lodge Team - H. Hermes, Terrace Bay; Best Sports Bonspiel - W. Aylward, Terrace Bay. Largest End - H. Hermes, Terrace Bay. The next district playdown will be held in Ignace. Special thanks goes out to Ken Johnson and Ted Kostiuk. for a wonderful Spiel that everyone enjoyed.
