The George Caron rink were the Happy winners of the Mortgage Burning Bonspiel held Friday and Saturday, November 12th and 13th at the Curling Club. John Luomala and Jack Chapman organized a highly successful Mixed Bonspiel of four end games at one hour intervals. Runners up to the George Caron Rink in the "A" event were Jack Chapman (Skip), Pat Fenton (Third), John Mason (Second) and Jeanine Des- rosiers (Lead). . Winners of the "B" event were Rod Thompson (Skip) , Marianne McDougall (Third), Tom Stan- chuck (Second) and Anne Regis (Lead). Runners up in the "B" event were Mike Fenton (Skip), Barb Hopper (Third), John Van- dergraaf (Second) and Heather Vandergraaf (Lead) . PLAYER OF THE WEEK The Terrace Bay Minor Hockey Association has set up a program to present a trophy on a weekly basis to the player in the organiza- tion who showed: sportsmanship; desire for the game of hockey and respect £6r the coaching. The. player of the week ending November 12th was Michael Moher from the Bantam Allstars. Gordie Lang was the player of the week ending November 19th and he is from the Pee- Wee Allstars. The McCausland Hospital Board of Directors HOSPITAL HIGHLIGHTS: b held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, October 19th. Ten members were present. The minutes of the September Board meeting were adopted as circulated. Committee chairmen gave their reports and discussions followed. The report from the Development Committee stated that the "Ministry" advised there had to be cut-backs of space in certain areas of the new hospital. . The Development Committee has accepted some of the cut-backs but are in the process of forming a rebuttal to the "Min- istry" on reducing space in areas where we feel it must be adequate for our needs.
