Photo by Kathie Hilder. Spirits were high on Saturday, November 13, at the closing of the first mixed Bonspiel of the season at the Terrace Bay Curling Club. Len Crockford then explained the 'need for the loan from K.C. He related how the club had first started behind the Legion Building, then moved to the arena end of the Rink when the Curling Ice was put in the Recreation Cen- tre. Since the Club members had no place to socialize after the game Kimberly-Clark provid- ed a loan to the Club to build the present pre- mises. This year that loan was paid off in full. Cy Brassard represented the Town Council in the celebration, Len Crockford and Ken Johnson re- presented the Curling Club while Ollie Chapman represented the Recreation Committee and Jack Chapman represented Kimberly-Clark. Terrace Bay is pleased to welcome newcomers Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Gillen # Patrick and Irene moved to Terrace Bay this summer with their three sons, Philip, 12, John, 10 and David, 8. Mr. Gillen is the Director of The North of Superior Dis- trict Separate School Board. Mr. Gillen is from Brantford, Ontario while Mrs. Gillen is originally from Ireland.
