PAGE 20 + CH CHRISTMAS PARTY PLANNED Mrs. Georgina Davis N.G. and Mrs. Winnie Clemens V.G. presided for the regular meeting of the Ruby Rebekah Lodge 279 on October 10th. The Sick and Visiting report was given by Mrs. Clemens reporting sending cards to Mrs. 'Edith Ibey in Kenora hospital following a car "accident, .to Mrs. N. Fummerton, Mrs. Lillie Legault, the Collinson family and Mrs. Nettie Thrower. : The C.P.T. Committee will meet on the second Sunday of each month. The place of 'the meetings is yet to be determined. ~~ A donation was made to Sovereign Grand Lodge Convention Committee. The Annual Christmas party at the 1.0.0.F. Home in Barrie Ontario will be held on Decem- ber 11th. Any members wishing to give gifts for the residents are to wrap each gift naming them for a lady or gentleman and turn them in to Mrs. Mavis Slater. Officers installed at this meeting v were Mrs. Winnie Clemens, Mrs. Lilian Christie, ~Mrs. Mavis Slater and Mrs. Alice Sparkes. A Christmas Penny Auction will be held following the meeting on November 24th. A Christmas party with an exchange of gifts will be held on December 8th and those C.P.R. EMPLOYEES (SCHREIBER) CREDIT UNION LTD. 26th ANNUAL SHAREHOLDERS MEETING SCHREIBER TOWN HALL FRI., NOV. 19, 7:30 P.M. Slater providing the music on the piano. A Pot luck lunch was enjoyed. \ MEMBERS ATTEND SHOW. IN MARATHON The Schreiber Art Club, at their regular meeting, November 8th, received an invitation from Confederation College to attend the Leo Wong, Toronto, Art Show now on display in the College in Thunder Bay. Information on other matters will follow later from the College. Several members attended an Arts, Crafts and Photography Show in Marathon, by invita- tion and found it most interesting. This was the Marathon Club's first show and Schreiber heartily congratulated them on their success. Mrs. Colleen Glad presided for the meeting in the absence of Mrs. Simone Bourgeois and Miss Gwen Hadley presented the treasurer's re- port. The next meeting will be on December 5th, in the Public School Art room. DEVON: Many, of his friends in this vincinity will be saddened to hear of the sudden death of Jack Devon of Eganville Ontario, husband of * Ethel Godin formerly of Schreiber.
