OCTOBER 27, 1976 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE' 5 urling omments 1976-1977 MENS CURLING DRAW: This years curling draw will allow a man to curl one night a week, only if he desires; or two nights. The following rules have been adopted by the Club and any person wishing to enter a rink or just their own name, should contact Paul Malashewski or Ken Johnson no lat- er than Friday, October 29th. 1. Skips to enter their own rinks, with the provision that the lead position be filled by an inexperienced curler. (Example: lead could be a new curler to the game or could have curl- ed some years but be rated a lead because of his ability, as determined by the Club Execu- tive). 2. Draw is to consist of a Round Robin, and division curling to be run concurrently. . ~ a) The Round Robin will run throughout the -entire season and will average one game a week. b) The division curling will aslo run the entire season and average one game a week. Cc) Prizes will be awarded to i) Division win- ners and runners-up as determined at the end of the division curling, but no prizes at the end oF each round. ii) und Robin winner and run- ner-up as determined at the end of the Round Robin. iii) Club Champion and runner-up based on total wins in both Round Robin and Division. £3 d) Teams will be placed into divisions by the Executive and curl the first round for points: A division win worth 10 pts/game; B division win worth 9% pts/gamé; C division win worth 9 pts/game. At the end of the first round, teams will be regrouped by points into new divisions and a second round will be play- ed. A third round will be curled on the same basis, but depending on the time available the third round might be a double round. All points will be scrapped at the start of the final round with prizes awarded to winners and runners-up in each division. The Division play will be on Monday nights and Round Robin on Wednesday nights. ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT Mi. and Mas.
