VOLLEYBALL: On Saturday, October 16, 1976 the Senior girls volleyball team travelled to Manitou- wadge to take part in the Annual Senior Volley -ball Invitational. The girls achieved third place in the playdowns, beating Manitouwadge, Geraldton and Wawa in standing points. The team was however defeated in the playoffs. On the 27th and 28th of this month they travel to Nip-Rock to compete in the NSSSAA Tournament. ; The Senior Boys played their first major competition at Manitouwadge on October 16. Although they were not winners in the tourna- ment, their games were well played and there was a noticable improvement with each game. On Thursday, October 22nd, they played a skillful team composed of High Scheol teachers and on this tournament were more successful, managing to win five games against the staff. In a four game series against the. Junior Boys the games were split two each. The Junior Boys and Girls teams are travel- ling to Marathon on October 23rd for a tourna- ment against Marathon and Manitouwadge teams. All four teams will be travelling to Red Rock for the NSSSAA Western Division playoffs on October 27th and 28th. PREVENT FOREST FIRES!
