The marriage took place on September 4th, in Kenmore United Church with Rev. Woolfrey and Father Minvielle officiating. Janice Beddard, formerly of Terrace Bay was one of the bridesmaids. Attending with the groom's parents were his brothers Patrick of Terrace Bay and David and Nancy Cruickshank of Pasadena, Newfoundland. Former Terrace Bay people who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Boudreau, Jane and Peter George, Lita-Marie Boudreau and Lyle Nicol, Claudette and Michael Rowland of Ottawa and Karin Lundberg and Paulette Nicol of Toronto. Jack and Dianne are residing in Ottawa. WOMEN TEACHERS ASSOCIATION FALL MEETING The Women Teachers Association of Lake Sup- erior held its fall meeting Wednesday, Septem- ber 29, 1976 in Marathon. The meeting was chaired by Mrs. Shirley Smee who welcomed members from Marathon, Man- itouwadge and Terrace Bay. Ms. Gail Conrad, delegate to the annual meeting of F.W.T.A.O. held in August in Toron- to gave an informative report on the meeting. Mrs. Helen Honan informed the group on terms of reference-ras set down by The Lake Superior Economic Policy Committee. Mrs. Ann Kallio representative of the Staff Board Liaison Committee reported on her work in this area. Sg The group was fortunate to have a special guest on this occasion. Ms. Eleanor Stewart, executive assistant to F.W.T.A.0. was on hand to inform, comment and answer questions. TERRACE BAY SOCIAL SPECTRUM 'Mr. and Mrs. Roy Larson recently attended the graduation of their youngest daughter, Valerie, at the 4 Seasons Sheraton Hotel in Toronto. Valerie graduated from the Toronto Institute of Medical Technology and is now working in London, Ontario as a registered Cytotechnologist. She also received the Pro- 4 ficiency Award in Cytotechnology which was sponsored by Jena Instruments Ltd. Mr. and Mrs, Vic Huggard (nee Darlene Larson) also attended the graduation ceremony on October 1, 1976. Ever remembered by his wife and family. 2 11 SCHOOL NEWS | AERTAL FIELD TRIP REPORT: On Monday, September 27, 1976, Mr. Klassen's grade 13 Canadian Geography class of Lake Sup- erior High School traveled to Wieben's Resort near Pays Plat for an Aerial field trip, on the small engine aircraft located there. For some students this was the first time they had ever experienced any type of aerial flight, for all the students the trip turned out to be exciting and very interesting. The purpose of the trip was for the students to discover what the landscape around Schreibei and Terrace Bay was like, geographically. Fron the aircraft the students were able to see the many interesting features that they had been taught in school.
