McCAUSLAND HOSPITAL BUILDING FUND Plans (blueprints) for the new hospital are close to completion and we are waiting for fin -al approval from the Ministry. We urge everyone (in.the many ways available) to continue in supporting the building fund. It must be proved to the Ministry that we are capable of providing our share of the expenses. We are responsible for 1/6 of the costs, while the Ministry will pay 5/6. Our share is ap- proximately $450,000.00. At this point (Friday October 8th) we are nearing the half-way point with a bank balance of $I90,I103.48. Added to this is the profit made through our Hospital Lottery - $100.00 a month. So, "Hand in there!" By helping the build- ing fund increase you will be buying for your- self and family the finest hospital facility :. and health care in this area of Ontario. The Board of Governors of the McCausland Hospital gratefully acknowledge the following contributions to the building fund. In Memoriam $45.00, Local Business $200.00, Payroll deductions $3,517.52, Personal Donations $315.00, Total Balance (Friday, October 8th) $190,103.48. Public Relations McCausland Hospital McCAUSLAND HOSPITAL LABORATORY SERVICES An inspection of the Hospital Laboratory Services was made on September 15th by Mr: G.P. van Ryl of the Ministry of Health = Inspection Branch. : Mr. van Ryl was quite impressed by the qua- lity of the work done in the laboratory and the many varied tests which can be handled in our hospital now. Proficiency such as this saves time for the Doctors in completing their diagnosis, and hav- ing a quick answer relieves patients anxieties. Much credit must be given to those in charge of the laboratory. Public Relations McCausland Hospital BIRTHS] = Mary Clara and Joe Papineau are happy to announce the arrival of their son, Clint Joseph Daniel, born September 25 at Port Arthur Gener- al Hospital.
