I9 NO. 40 OCTOBER I4, I976 20¢ PER COPY HOSPITAL HIGHLIGHTS The September meeting of the McCausland Hospital Board of Governors was held Tuesday the 2Ist at St. Martin Separate School. Twelve members were present. The minutes of the August I7th meeting, with corrections, were accepted. It was stated that the OHA and the ONA would undertake Collective Bargaining on a Central basis on financial matters. Mr. R. Wills, Chairman of Property, stated that a Maintenence Preventive Program is under -way. Mr. R. Sinotte is responsible for main- tenance of the hospital plant, etc; during the week. Should there be an emergency during the week-end, Mr. Wills will be on call' Mrs. Erlise Stephens (Schreiber) is the Hospital Auxiliary's representative to the Board of Governors. Mrs. Peggy Helmink is re- presenting the Terrace Bay Council during the absence of Roy Bray. ; A cardiac monitor and a defibrillator (mach- ine to restore heart beat) are to be purchased. The Board is researching the various makes. The I975 Operating Budget approved by the Ministry of Health was $4II,I88.00 and for I976 increases were allowed at 8% for Salary and I0% for services and supplies, however, the Administrator obtained the following Operating Budget approved by the Ministry of Health in the amount of $528,953.00. Miss Jane Burden, from Oshawa Ontario, has taken up duties as Director of Nursing. The Accounts Payable and Net Payroll, for the month ,0of August I976, totalling $42,88I.90 were accepted for payment. Public Relations McCausland Hospital KINSMEN PAINT SCOUT HUT fo 2 so i a nd TT People passing through Terrace Bay this past week-end would have noticed the finishing touches being made to the Boy Scout Hut... As one of the projects scheduled for the year, the Kinsmen Club of Terrace Bay turned out in force to give the Boy Scout Hut a fresh ap- pearance. The Kinsmen, who also sponsor the cubs and scouts in Terrace Bay, scraped, primed, and painted the hut in the traditional scouting yellow and green. The Kinsmen would like to thank Bougie El- ectric and Heating for donating five gallons of paint and to Cebrario's Hardware for assis- tance in the purchasing of other painting sup- plies. : As the scouting year begins, there is a need for Cub leaders.
