The Chairman, Mr. Alex Daneff and' the Ad- ministratos, Mr. M. J. Vibert reported on the convention which was held in Toronto. An im- provement was noticed in the workshops con- ducted by the Association. While at the con- vention the delegates had a session with Mr. Lawrence Crawford, the Director, who is very interested in the two Homes in the District, and, the way in which we relate to Seniors in the area. The Board received an invitation to hold their next meeting in Manitouwadge and this was accepted. The next meeting will be held on October 29th, 1976. { SCHOOL NEWS N.S.S.S.A.A. GOLF TOURNAMENT : Our golf team: John Adamo, Stephen Gorham, Aaron Walsh and Norman Beaulieu travelled to Geraldton with their coach, Doug Roberts on September 17th for the Fall Tournament. 3 The boys made an excellent showing, play- ing well under tremendous weather conditions. The tournament was won by Geraldton just three strokes ahead of Marathon. The spring tournament will be held here in Terrace Bay. Congratulations team. SOCCER: : The Lake Superior High School Soccer team made their debut September 25th at the Wawa Invitational. The team played two games. They tied their first game and lost their se- cond game 1 - 0. There were six teams- in the competition - Chapleau, Wawa, Marathon, Man- itouwadge, Geraldton and Lake Superior. On October lst fhey travel to Manitouwadge for the North Shore Secondary School Athletic Association Tournament for the two day Cham- pionship. Their coaches, Mr. Vandergraaf and Mr. MacDougall feel they will do well. In their warm up game against the staff they squeaked a 10 - 2 win. If you were up at 6:30 a.m. Friday you may have seen them depart] in the morning fog. : VOLLEYBALL: Volleyball practices have begun for both boys and girls, junior and senior.
