PAGE 10 TERRACE BAY NEWS OCTOBER 6, 1976 CNIB VISIT: Cont'd from page 9 ..... This is the third year the mobile clinic has appeared in Terrace Bay thanks to the Kinsmen Club of Terrace Bay which has request- ed and financially sponsored this worthwhile community project on each occasion. Special thanks go to Dr. Robert Alexander and his staff, to the firemen for the use of the Fire Hall and to Bill and Anna McKie who have organized these visits on each occasion. The Kinsmen have scheduled the clinic to return to Terrace Bay again next year at this time. TERRACE BAY POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT The Terrace Bay Police investigated thirty- seven occurences during the week of October 26 to September 2, 1976. On September 27 it was reported that a num- ber of camp residents rooms had been entered and personal property removed. During the late evening hours on September 27 culprits broke into Cebrario's Hardware. At 5:20 p.m., September 27, it was reported that three young girls had been approached by a man in his late twenties, described as 5' 8" tall, 180 pounds with brown shoulder length hair. This man was reported to be driving a late model intermediate sized car with a black top, silver bottom. Although no physical harm came to these girls it is a matter of great concern both to parents and to the constables on the department. The police are requesting that parents speak to their children advising them not to speak to or accept rides from strangers. Although there has not been an reoccurence of this type of offence we cannot take it lightly. Until the police are sure that this man was just travelling through this area, or is apprehended, please use all due caution. Any assistance the public could ren- der will be greatly appreciated. : A Break and Enter was reported at the Games Room of the Recreation Centre on September 29. Police investigated a motor vehicle colli- sion which occured September 29 on the CPR overhead bridge. Investigation resulted in a local resident being charged with following to close. Later in the evening police investigated two incidents of wilful damage to unattended mobile homes within the Township. On October 2 Police investigated a theft of a stereo from a parked car at the Red Dog Inn. Later the same day a local resident struck and killed a bear as it crossed 'Highway 17 within the Township. There was no damage to the car. Cont'd pg.
