PAGE -12 TERRACE BAY NEWS SEPTEMBER 1, SMALL: The funeral of the late Lloyd Gourley Small, of Schreiber, whose death occurred in an daccident in Thunder Bay on August 21, 1976 was conducted in Holy Angels Roman Cath- olic Church in Schreiber on August 24 by Father Meyer of Schreiber assisted by Father Campbell of Marathon. : Prior to the church service the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 109 and its auxiliary held their special service and the Rosary was said by the Catholic Women's League, in the King Funeral Home. The honourary pall bearers were Peter Ukrainec, Tom Webb, Jack McCouan, Bill Para- dis, R.B. Spadoni, Stan Deluce, Jack Irvine, Gordon Willoughby, Hobden Spikula and A.A. Small. Active bearers were Gino Caccamo, Ken Davis, Gordon Nesbitt, Len Hiller, Martin Ryan and Charlie Holmes. Interment was in Schreiber cemetery. Mr. Small's immediate survivors are his wife, Margaret (Peggy); two sons, John of Toronto and Raymond of Perth, Australia; one daughter, June; grandaughter, Marlo Katherine of Perth, Australia; his mother, Mrs. Viola Small, of Toronto; uncle, Lloyd Small of Thunder Bay; a sister, Mrs. June Mumford of Toronto. He was predeceased by his father, Allan Small in 1969. Mr. Small was born May 28, 1922 in Sch- reiber, Ontario. Coming from a pioneer family, his Small grandparents having been among the earliest settlers in the town and his parents residing here until 1944 when Mr. Small retired from the railway and they went to live in Toronto. Mr. Small had served well both his country and his own community. He served four years, 1942 - 1946 with the R.C.A.F. R-177247; he was president of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 109 for two terms (1953-1956), spent five years on the executive, as secretary in 1960-1967; served four years on the Ontario WANTED | WAITRESSES - FULL TIME - ONE SHORT ORDER COOK - FULL TIME APPLY AT VOYAGEUR RESTAURANT SCHREIBER ° Hydro Electric Commission in Schreiber; he was on the executive of the C.P.R.
