SUMMER PLAYGROUND PROGRAM I976: The Playground program is off to a good start with attendance being exceptionally good. Our daily as well as our special events have proven to be quite successful. Although the weather has not always been on our side and two outdoor events had to be cancelled, we are optomistic about future special activ- ities. : A successful pre-teen dance was held on Friday, July I6éth. Prizes were given to the winners of various novelty dances and a door prize -draw was won by Gilda Pedersen. The prize was a record album by The Eagles. It took a little time to get everyone out on the dance floor because for some of the younger ones it was a new experience. The night was enjoyed by everyone and we hope to hold sim- ilar activites in the future. Also on Friday, the 4 to 6 year olds en- joyed an "Unbirthday Party". Everyone showed up in party clothes and in party spirit. We dined on sandwiches, cookies, Kool-aid and birthday cake before we went outside for a treasure hunt.
