At an open meeting of local Tennis players, it was decided not to form a Tennis club at the present time; however, the steering com- mittee has set up a list of basic rules and a system of scheduling for tennis court uses. These regulations have been posted for every- one's perusal. Anyone with problems or ques- tions regarding the use of the tennis courts please contact the Recreation Office and they will refer you to a member of the steering committee. LACROSSE PROGRAMME TO START JUNE 29TH: The Terrace Bay Recreation Department is pleased to announce that an instructional Lac- rosse programme will be offered to boys' cat- egories 10 - 12 years of age and 13 and 14 years of age. The 10 - 12 year olds will have a session from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and the 13 and 14 year olds will have their sessions from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. A total of 10 sessions will be offered throughout the summer at a regis- tration fee of $3.00 per player. Anyone interested in registering for Lac- rosse can do so by picking up registration forms at the Recreation Office and making pay- ment. Registrations will also be taken during the first session on June 29th at the Terrace Bay arena. Instructor for this programme will be Larry Abraham, Junior. If someone in your home eats or drinks some poisonous substance, valuable time could be lost while your doctor or local hospital cont- acts the nearest poison control centre for information about symptoms and remedies. Ont- ario Hospital association has wanted to change that by making it possible for all hospitals in Ontario to have a Poison Control mini-file for instant reference. Now they have. It is a bright red binder which lists all common and uncommon poisons, their symptoms, antidotes and treatments.
