Dr. Croll, Chief of Medical staff, report- ed on the Medical Staff meeting held April I9th. The Administrator stated that one of the Nursing Staff would attend the Rehabilitation Workshop in Thunder Bay the 4th and 5th of May. HOSPITAL BUILDING FUND The McCausland Hospital Board of Governors gratefully acknowledges the following con- tributions to the Building Fund: Personal donations $77.50; Payroll deductions $2,564.00; In Memoriam $587.00; Kimberly Clark's pledge on donations $8,051.98 (K.C. has paid $39,845.37 of pledge to date) ; Canadian Imperial Bank of Canada - pledge on donations $I,050.00 (Amount paid to date $2,250.00); Out-of-town Contributors - George 0. Terrace Bay Guides and Brownies held a very successful Cookie Day, Wednesday May I2th having sold all the cookies before they were able to cover all homes. More cookies have been ordered and anyone wishing cookies may call the Cookie Day Con- vener, Mrs. Rita McBride at 825-3713. Both Brownie Packs have enjoyed "supper meetings" recently. After having planned and prepared supper themselves, they enjoyed a variety of salads, soups, sandwiches, pudd- ings and cake. POETRY READING BY LOCAL ARTISTS The reading will be a group presentation of several authors reading their works, includ- ing poems recently printed in the Northwest- ern Ontario Poetry Anthology published by NOPA. These readings have a distinct regional flavour. Bring your .own poetry. A period of time will be set aside to allow you fo read your own poems.
