Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bruley and family and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bruley and family of Thunder Bay spent the weekend at their summer home here. Robert Bouchard of Marathon spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Romeo Bouchard Miss Lorraine Seppala spent the past week visiting her mother, Mrs. T.F. Seppala in Thunder Bay. Now that the bay and lakes are cleared of ice, sportsmen turn to angling. So far this spring fishing has been good and getting better. Many local sportsmen, young and old, have been successful catching some fine lake trout and coaster's off the docks. In fact the luck was started New Year's day when Hilton Mushquash caught a four pounder coaster off the Govern- ment dock. Young Joey Kenney of Terrace Bay caught a five pound lake trout and some small coasters while fishing with his grandfather, R.T. Kenney. - Grandfather wasn't so 'lucky as he caught, or hooked a fine specimen of a { trout that appeared to be about eight or ten { pounds but lost it when he and his grandson supply some pleasant sport. attempted to land it. It was decided to hire someone to houseclean the building and to clean up the lot. Those on the committee this year are Mrs. Eugene Gerow, Chairman; Miss Lorraine Seppala, Secretary, Treasurer. Others are Mrs. Herb Legault, Mrs. Jack Campbell, Mrs. Chas Henderson and R. G Goodchild. A bingo was planned and prizes are to be obtained for it. Luncheon was served. ST. BERCHMAN'S ALTAR SOCIETY: Mrs. R.T. Kennay hosted the members of St. Berchman's Altar Society at their Annual meet- ing Sunday evening. The president, Mrs. Cam- illa Legault welcomed the members and took . The president reported on the Church clean- ing for Easter and was pleased with the res- ponse. An invitation was read to attend the 25th Anniversary banquet and mass of the pas- tor, Rev. Father F.J. Meyer's priesthood. Mrs. Todesco offered to make the posters for the bingo. : The present slate of officers were re-in- stated for another term. They are: Mrs. Cam- illa Legault - president, Mrs. Josephine Ken- ney - vice president, Mrs. Mary Schelling - secretary, Mrs. Agnes Legault - treasurer, Mrs. Prina Mary Gerow - card secretary, Mrs. Anne Todesco - Mass card secretary. Mrs. Kenney served luncheon. The Schreiber Recreation Committee has hired Miss Linda Fraser as their Co-ordinator in charge of Recreation and Swimming for the summer months.
