Alex Greengrass of Terrace Bay. The honorary pallbearers were Reno Spadoni, Walter Spadoni, Aldo Spadoni, Jack Caccamo, (all nephews) F.V. Harness and Joseph Speziale Active pallbearers were Paul Cebrario, Rick Spadoni, Paul Caccamo, Bruce DeLuce, Brian Duffy and Michael Mulligan, all great nephews. Interment was in Schreiber cemetery. Mrs. Spadoni's immediate survivors are her daughter, Adriana, Mrs. W.H. Bulger of Kit- chener; two grandchildren, John and Joan Bul- ger, of Toronto; a sister, Clara, Mrs. Anton- io Caccamo of Thunder Bay; a brother, Mauro Cebrario of Schreiber. There are also many nephews and nieces in the immediate district and other places in Canada. Mrs. Spadoni was predeceased by her husband in February 1970. She was born in Torino, Italy, coming to White River directly from Italy in 1911, where she was married to Mr. Spadoni in 1214. They came to Schreiber in 1925 when the Spadoni Firm bought the famous Corner Store. Mrs. Spadoni, soon affectionately called Rosa, early assumed a unique position in Schreiber, because of her interest in her ad- opted community and her definite flair for style and beauty, coupled with the business reputation of the Spadoni Firm. Rosa, and her sister Clara (Mrs. Caccamo) arranged, with the consent and cooperation of the Knights of Columbus, St. Edward's Chapter, the first open air Mass in Northwestern Ont- ario, in 1948. This event attracted a host of attendants from the district and the Lake- head. ; Every bride, in Schreiber, for many years was dressed by Rosa, and on several occasions the entire wedding party's attire. The cake, the refreshments, the flowers and the en- trance at the church were personally supervis- ed by Rosa. In addition to this, with her flair for style, and immediate knowledge of her custo- mers, Rosa could go east at least twice a year, on buying trips, ordering in advance an assortment of clothes of which the few re- maining unsold were, at the end of two weeks were immediately returned and another selec- tion sent. One of Rosa's greatest qualities, while enjoying her present financial success was comparing this to the struggle when she work- ed with her husband to establish their busin- ess in White River. She was always compas- sionate and helped those in less fortunat circumstances. : Among those attending the funeral from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Bulger, Kit- chener; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley DeLuce, Timmons; Mrs. Greg O'Connor, Mrs. Russell Crooks, Chap- leau; Mr. and Mrs. Reno Spadoni , Walter Spa- doni and Mr. and Mrs. Francesco Tessaro, White River; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Caccamo, Thunder Bay.
