One of every thousand children is born with C.F. - it is thought to be hereditary, although the par- ents of C.F. children show no symptoms of the disease. The prevalance of C.F. in Canada is estimated at 3000 cases and is increasing at a rate of 500 per year. In order to contain and hopefully conquer this incurable disease, early diagnosis is essential. This can only be done by research. In an: effort to conquer this child killer, the Kinsmen organization throughout Canada have pledged their financial support. Have you thought about making a pledge? so, here is how it will work. During the Telethon, call the following phone numbers in Schreiber: 824-2555 or 824-2556. Once your call is received and you have indicated that you wish to make a donation, a member of the Kinsmen Club will be dispatched to your re- sidence to collect your donation and write you a receipt. This donation will then by monitored to the Telethon at CHFD-TV studios. Think about the Telethon and it's value to Cystic Fibrosis and more impertant, why not call the numbers listed to MAKE' YOUR DONATION! xf The following officers for the Schreiber Catholic Women's League were installed at their April meeting by Father F.J.
