PAGE 8 TERRACE BAY NEWS MARCH 10, 1976 L.A. TO LEGION 223 FEBRUARY MEETING The regular meeting for the Ladies Auxil- iary was held on February 23rd with a very good attendance on hand. Following old business the financial state -ment was given, correspondance read and the various committees gave their reports. 7 A motion was passed to send a donation to the Mentally Retarded Organization. Nancy Dupas will represent the Ladies Auxiliary at a meeting for the Mentally Retarded in Sch- reiber on March 9th. The Royal Canadian Legion Annual Convention will be held in Kekabaka Falls on March 27th. The Auxiliary president, Bea St. Louis and secretary, Joyce Mercier will attend as del- egates on behalf of the Ladies Auxiliary. A very successful annual mixed curling bonspiel was held on February 28th. This was followed by a smorgasbord at the Legion Hall. This was catered to by R. Thorpe and E. Knauff| After the smorgasbord the curlers finished off the evening dancing to the music of the Com- misso Brothers. A letter was received from the Men's Branch asking for a bar clean-up committee. These were: Leslie Josus, Gold, Senior Ladies Interpretive; Sharon Bougie, Silver, Senior Ladies Interpretive; Jenny Dorman, Silver, I Intermediate Ladies Dance Solo. High praise should be given to the mothers who came and surpassed this ordeal. A spe- cial note of thanks goes to the president of the Terrace Bay Figure Skating Club, Mrs. Donna Josus.
