We regret having to limit this class to 440 c.c. maximum, but due to track size and layout we feel it would not be in the best in- terest of safety to the competitors to allow unlimited c.c. displacement. A "Clunker Race" for 1971 and earlier mach- ines, 20 H.P. maximum will be held. For Adult event prizes, including the "Clun- ker", first prize will be a trophy and cash and second prize will be cash only. There will be a special event for 14 - 17 year old boys and 14 - 17 year old girls. . These events must have a nimimum of three ent- ries for the event to take place. The first prize for these events will be a trophy and second and third prizes will be merchandise. There is a trophy for "Most Races Won" in the adult classes. To attend the races it will be $1.25 with- out a carnival button and $1.00 with a button. Children under 12 will be admitted free. Food and refreshments will be served in the Masonic Hall from 1 to 5 p.m. and there will also be a Spagetti Supper in St. Martin's Church Basement at 5 p.m. LEGION MIXED BOWLING On February 20th, R. Thorpe led all bowlers with games of 243, 247, 233 (723) to capture high triple and high triple for the year. Other good scores were N. Chopty 217, 251, 225 (693), J. Megraw 216, H. Duriez 205, E. Knauff 230, D. Coupal 233, P. Jones 223. On Februray 27th A. Daley led all bowlers with games of 286, 226, 205 (717). Other high games for the night were: B. Moon 245, 22L, 248 (714), J. Fisher 252, 202 (634), T. Velan- off 294, 201, (690), N. Chopty 204, D. Coupal 247, E. Knauff 265, Y. Leclair 221, L. McRae 230, R. Belliveau 215, J. Megraw 218. A close race for first place is shaping up between the Bombardiers and the Corvettes. Standings so far, are: Bombardiers 82, Corvettes 80%, Irish Reg't 65%, Spitfires 52 and Cameron Highlanders 46.
