Bombardiers have the bye this week. 4 WELTON : d Mr. Glen Welton, Vice Principal of Marath- on Public School passed away on Friday, Feb- ruary 6, 1976. Mr. Welton is survived by his mother living in Castleton, his wife Joan Welton, and his three children, Nancy, age 17 and Eric and Stephen age 15. Mr. Welton first came to Marathon to teach in 1952. He began his teaching career in Campbellford in 1945 and taught for five years with the Napanee Public School Board before coming to Marathon. RECREATION DEPARTMENT WEEKLY REPORT BROOMBALL RESPONSE FAVOURABLE - LEAGUE STARTS THIS WEEK: As a result of a number of teams being formed at MECO and a couple of teams at Kim- berly Clark, ice time has been made available for the sport of broomball, commencing this week. For this week, sessions were schedul- ed for Tuesday, February 17th, from 10:30 to 11:30 p.m., and on Thursday, February 19th, from 10330 to 11:30 p.m. 'Sunday, February 22nd - North Shore Hockey, It is hoped that more ice time will be made available for the sport of broomball in the near future. For more information, contact the Recreation Office at 3542. NORTH SHORE HOCKEY THIS WEEKEND: The next scheduled North Shore hockey games are for this weekend, Sunday, February 22nd.
