Nola Fummerton has returned to London after visiting her family, and Sandra Ross, also of London has returned there after spending the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Ross. Larry Power, Toronto was home for the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Power. Sharon Riley, Toronto, spent the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. George Riley, bringing with her Patty Pudas of Thunder Bay and after their visit in Schreiber they went to Patty's par- ents home. SCHREIBER C.W.L. MEETING At their regular monthly meeting the Cath- olic Women's :eague made a donation of $25.00 to the Church Today Television program. They also donated $500.00 to their church building fund. They received and are considering the pro- posal of the Royal Canadian Legion to change the Memorial day services to May 9 or June 6 because of the weather. The membership convenor reported 180 paid up members and three honorary ones. Members were also advised the membership fees will be increased this year. Christmas remembrances were presented to older members of the League. Following the business meeting there was a Christmas party with an exchange of gifts. SHEEHAN : The funeral of the late Mrs. Edward Sheehan nee Helen Walsh, whose death occurred in hosp- ital, in London, Ontario on December 29 was conducted on January 3, 1976 in Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Schreiber. Father F.J. Meyer was assisted in the service by Father Alex Greengrass of Terrace Bay. The honourary pall bearers were Walter Ball- ard, Bernard Paradis, Bill Paradis, Patrick Guina, Raoul Spadoni, and Edward McAdam. Active pall bearers were Borden Ross, Kevin O'Brien, Martin Ryan, Lloyd Small, John Cos- grove and Michael Cosgrove. Interment was in Schreiber cemetery. Prior to the Church service the Catholic Wom- en's League recited the Rosary in the King Funeral Home. | Mrs. Sheehan's immediate survivors are three daughters - Nora, Mrs. J.R. Kelly of Ontario; Anne Marie, Mrs. C.S. Demas of Chem- ainus, B.C; one son, Edward of St. Stephen, N.B. fifteen grandchildren; three great grand Marathon; Marjorie, Mrs. A.T. Lennox of London] : -children; two sisters, Marjorie, Mrs. Wilbert Facey of London, Ontario and Nora, Mrs. Paul Shelton of Clear Water, Florida; Alan Walsh of Toronto and George Walsh of Schreiber. She was predeceased by her husband in 1961. 3 Mrs. Sheehan was born in Memphis, Tenn. but grew up in Schreiber, where she was a long- . time member of: the Catholic Women's League, and for many years sang in the Holy Angels Church Choir. since 1961, returning frequently to visit re- lations and.old friends in Schreiber.
