LIQUORICE ALLSORTS BLITZ: On Thursday, December 11, the Terrace Bay Cadets held a Liquorice Allsorts Blitz for the Local Association to Guides and Brownies. A meeting was held at the home of Pam Jones to plan the Blitz. Mrs. Bernice Pytyck, the convener for last years Blitz attended to help the Cadets. The new Venturers helped to distribute Group in Terrace Bay the allsorts to the " 18 stations" which were set up all over the town. It was a big success with a station on each street so the smaller Brownies didn't have far to walk to sell the candies. Many thanks go out to all the mothers and fathers who held a station and to the Guides, Brownies and Cadets who helped to sell the Liquorice Allsorts. . On behalf of all her friends, Phyl Boutil- ier presented Myrtle with a leather tote bag. The Local Association to Guides and Brownies also made a presentation. Rita McBride, chair- man of the L.A. gave Myrtle a Guiding cup and saucer in appreciation of her eight years with the Guiding movement in Terrace Bay.
