Four residents are celebrating their birthday this month: Carl and Sophia Sorenson, Cliff Riley and Bill Dorning. PUBLIC NOTICE - Please note our Christmas ad in this week's News stating deadlines for the Christ- mas issue. All advertising and news material must be received by tomorrow, Thursday, December 18th to be publiched in the final issue for this year which comes out December 23rd. The News Office will be closed Wednesday, December 24th until Monday, January 5, 1976. Deadline for all material is NOON Monday of each week. The first issue of the new year will be published Wednesday, January 7, 1976. Corporal Stanley R. Greenwood and Tara Greenwood are home for Christmas visiting with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. Greenwood of Terrace Bay. Stanley has just completed six months in the Middle East with the Canad- ian Peace Keeping Force. Tara is from the Windsor area where she is employed as a weld- er. : BANKS-DUNAHOE : ; The funeral of the Late Mrs. Grace Banks Dunahoe, former resident of Terrace Bay whose death occured on November 28, 1975 was held in Sidney, B.C. She came to Terrace Bay in 1948, joining Norval Banks who had arrived here in 1947. She was predeceased by her husband, Norval in 1962. She was 60 years old and is survived by her second husband, Mr. G. Dunahoe and three daugh -ters, Margaret Weaver, Thunder Bay; Mary Moore, Red Rock; Myrtle McBride, Prince Albert Sask. While living in Terrace Bay she was active in bowling and bridge club and had many friends here. Only donations to the Cancer Society were accepted. - MOOSE BINGO The Loyal Order of Moose will sponsor a Bingo on. Thursday, December 18th at 8:00 p.m. in the Moose Hall, Terrace Bay. "There will be four turkey door prizes. Bus leaves Schreiber Post Office at 7215 Dam. LOCAL 665, HONOURS RETIREES Local 665, United Paperworkers Internation -al Union paid tribute to four retiring mem- bers on Friday, December 12, 1975. A dance and social held at the Moose Hall saw an over -flow gathering. Prior to the dance the re- tirees and their wives were treated by Execu- tive members and wives at the Red Dog Inn. The retirees were Mr. John Steen, Mr. Will -ard Vezina, Mr. Walter Klug and Mr. Nick Rennette.
