Terrace Bay Council Quotes = continued From a decision made earlier in' the year an eight track tape deck will be ordered for Birchwood Terrace and presented as a gift in recognition of Senior Citizens Week. Under correspondence a letter from Ontario Hydro initiated Council to have the exterior decorative lighting for Christmas turned on the weekend of December 6th. A letter from the Terrace Bay Chamber of Commerce outlined three recommendations re the police department which might help improve the seriousness of vandalism and related condit- ions in town. These were I) secure and make use of a trained dog; 2) use two police con- stables at night instead of during the day; and 3) re-locate the police office to the main plaza. On application from Mrs. Anne Wilkes, she was appointed to serve on the Library Board. Requests from Minor Hockey to hold a peanut blitz on November 26th and from Terrace Bay Cadet Company to hold a Liquorice Allsorts Blitz on December IIth were granted. Notification was received from T.E.I.G.A. re financial statement revision and seminar to be held in Thunder Bay on December Ist. Hanley was authorized to attend. On a request from the Hospital Board the Institutional area will be re-zoned for hospit- al purposes.
