NOTICE OF MEETING Royal Canadian Legion Branch 223 General Meeting - Thursday, November 13 at 7:30 p.m. TERRACE BAY NEWS N NOVEMBER 12, 1975 UNITED CHURCH WOMEN - The Schreiber United Church Women held their - - November meeting with Mrs. Lilyan Christie presiding in the absence of Beth Macadam. Mrs. Chris Morris took charge of the devotional with Mrs. Clemens reading the Scripture. Minutes of the last meeting were read and the financial statement was given by Mrs. Nel- lie Thrower. ' The Anniversary Tea and special service had been termed a great success due to the efforts of a small committee and the Official Board who were extended a vote of thanks. Plans were finalized for the Christmas tea and Bazaar to be held in the Town Hall on Sat- urday, November 29th. Serving convenor Mrs. Niemi asked members who have knitting and sew- ing to hand them in for pricing by November 28. The Bazaar will also feature home baking, nov- elties, white elephant table, fish pond and draw prizes of Christmas cakes and toys. The tea committee will be in charge of the chicken pattie tea. Mrs. M. Spillane read a report of cheer cards and birthday cards sent to shut .in or ill persons in the community. A nominating committee of Mrs. A. Niemi and Mrs. M. Spillane will contact all members to bring in a new slate of officers for the next term. Mrs. Christie distributed the quilt tickets to be sold at a draw in January. The lesser coin was collected. Mrs. M. Nesbitt and Mrs. M. Spillane won the draw prizes of home baking and Mrs. Myra Holmes won the surprise draw prize. Lunch was served by Mrs. Della Moore, Mrs. Chris Morris and Mrs. W.
