SEPTEMBER 17, 1975 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 13 had said they were there to honour Inez and Lester but he was there because of Inez and Lester - Jil read the many messages of tribute from the Hon. William Davis; Premier of Ontar- io, The Prime Minister of Canada, the Governor General and Madam Leger, Keith Penner, M.P.P. and many personal ones. Jack Stokes, MPP presented a framed icate of good wishes from the Province tario. . Reeve Harold McParland thanked Inez and Lester for the interest they had shown and given to community affairs, discussions with Lester on various issues and Inez's years on the town council and presented them with an etched crystal decanter and glasses from the council. Alex Gordon, now on the Lake Superior Board of Education said Lester was the one who'd in- duced him to go on the school Board adding humourously that he began to think he'd never retire and give him (Alex) a chance to work up some seniority! But he's grateful indeed for having the benefit of Lester's experience and his advice. Art LeBlanc presented a basket of money made of folded bills on behalf of the commun- ity, recalling growing up in the house behind certif- of On- Inez and Lester's. Mr. McCuaig gave a second wedding ring to his wife, brought to him for presentation by granddaughter Christina McCuaig and three red roses, brought to him by granddaughter D'Arcy Trowsse. Granddaughter Katie McCuaig was in charge of the guest book. Mrs. Helen Stokes, on behalf of Inez's bridge club, pre- sented a purse of silver dollars. And many individual gifts were presented during the evening. Freddie McColeman, a former piano student of Inez, provided music for singing and dan- cing during the evening. Lunch was served by members of the Bridge Club and the Chimo Club. Attending the occasion from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Alex McCuaig, with Katie, Donald and Christina, of Don Mills; Sherlee McCuaig of Toronto; Mr. and Mrs. Chal McCuaig .Atikokan; Mrs. Burke Trowsse (Jil) and daugh- ter D'Arcy of Dartmouth, N.S.; Dr. and Mrs. J.E.
