Nine motor vehicles were safety checked and seven charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act. Appearing before Magistrate Buttering on August 2Ist, I975 were: Leslie Paradis who pleaded guilty to squealing tires and fined $28.00. James Osmar pleaded guilty to driving on a sidewalk and squealing tires. Fined total of $4I.00. Rene Theriault pleaded guilty to driving his motor cycle. across a lawn. He was fined $53. He was also fined $23. for failing to wear a helmet. John Zwir was fined $28. when he pleaded guilty to squealing the tires of his car. Curtis Cotton pleaded guilty to operat- ing a vehicle without insurance, drivers lic- ense or registration. He was fined a total of . $99. 00.
