The bride, Marilyn Patricia, is the daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Frank Plachta, of Thunder Bay, and the groom the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank G. MacDonald of Schreiber. ANNOUNCEMENT A shower-tea will be held in honour of Karen Glad, bride-elect of James Garriock, Sunday, July 27th, from 8 to-10 p.m. in the Anglican Church Hall, Schreiber. Everyone welcome. ROSSPORT TOWN TOPICS Mr. and Mrs. Chas Wilde and family have left to holiday around Manitoulin Island, in Georgian Bay. Mr. Wilde went by his sailboat with friends and Mrs. Wilde and the children motored to join him at Little Current. Albert Watt of Thunder Bay visited his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Legault during the week. Walter Gerow and family have returned from a holiday at Timmins and Wawa. Jack Campbell and family have left to hol- iday at Wawa and Sault Ste. Marie. Mrs. Bill Hubelit was home over the week- end from Parisennien Island where she spends the season with her husband, the lightkeeper. Dominic Martin has left to visit relativ- es in Winnipeg for a month. Mr. and Mrs. C. Romanac have left to holi- day in Eastern Ontario. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wahl of Wawa visited her father Mac Hubelit on the weekend. Mrs. Jessie Ratchford now residing in St. Petersburg, Florida is in renewing acquaint- ances in Rossport, Schreiber and Terrace Bay. Mrs. Ratchford at one time resided in Terrace Bay and had a cottage at Selim Beach. She | was accompanied by Mrs. Mary Moorer also of | St. Petersburg. Mrs. Hilda Mushquash is visiting relatives at Nipigon this week. Mr. and Mrs. J. Tozer and family of Ante- gonish, N.S. visited their aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Legault this week. Mr. and Mrs. Macready of Toronto, A. Luks: | ie, D. McLaughlin, Mr. and Mrs. John Long, 3 all of Toronto were holiday visitors here _ during the week. S.C. Scol of Dartmouth, Devon England, Mr. and Mrs. M. Potts of Wicham, Essex England were among our vacationers this week. ' Mr. and Mrs. H. Lapworth of Kenora were in the village this week. Mr. and Mrs. Warren DuPie of Grand Rapids Mich. have arrived on their annual fishing trip. The DuPies have been motoring here for over 30 years.
