Lukinuk and Associates have been handling this matter on our behalf. A special meeting was held on June IOth at 7 p.m at the Fire Hall. Present were: A. Drexler, -E. Stachiw, E. Salesse, L. Waghorn , P. Doig, L. Duquette and Notary Public, W. Hanley. Application for incorporation was moved by E. Salesse and seconded by P. Doig. This document is to be forwarded to the Lieutenant Governor for final approval. Hopefully we will be fully incorporated within four to six weeks. Please watch for further news concerning Search and Rescue. C.W.L. HOLD ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP TEA The Annual Membership Tea for the St. Mart- in of Tours C.W.L. was held on Sunday, June 8th at 8 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The Opening Ceremony was held in the Churchiwith the mem- bers reciting a decade of the Rosary for the intention of the new executive for a success- ful league year. : The installation of the newly-elected off- icers took place following the Rosary. Father Greengrass presented the gavel to the Presid- ent, Mrs. J. Kennedy, and imparted his Bless- ings to the new executive. Mrs. F. Helmink escorted Mrs. W. Cavanaugh to the Altar where Mrs. R. Belliveau, presented Mrs. Cavanaugh with the C.W.L. Maple Leaf Service Pin. Mrs. L. McBride escorted Mrs. W. Vezina to the Altar where Mrs. R. Belliveau presented Mrs. Vezina with her 25 Year Membership Scroll. Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament followed. Mrs. J. Kennedy, chaired the meeting. The meeting opened with League Prayers. Mrs. Kenn- edy welcomed all the ladies present and ex-= pressed her willingness to serve as council president. She will try and do her best for God and Canada. Mrs. G. Ramsay - Secretary, read the min- utes of the last general meeting, these were approved as read. The reading of the corres- pondence followed. In the absence of the treasurer, Mrs. R. Gerlach, Mrs. G. Ramsay read her report. The Standing Committee Conveners were ask- ed for their reports: Organization - Mrs. R. Belliveau; Communica- tions and Public Relations ~ Mrs. G. Dashkewy- tch. Mrs. Dashkewytch explained there are five degrees of membership in the League, ~ Honorary Membership, Honorary Life Membership, Life Membership, Active Membership and Associ- ate Membership. She then outlined the requir- ements of Life Membership. At the Diocesan Convention on May 7th in Thunder Bay it was proposed that Mrs. Peggy Helmink be presented with a Life Membership. This proposal at Convention Time was unanimously approved. application will be forwarded to National Office for approval. It was felt at Conven- tion time that Mrs. Helmink met all the re- quirements of Life Membership and lived by the C.W.L. Credo.
