Alan, Steven and Anne Massey of Manchester, England holidayed here enroute to western Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Garry Walker and family of Thunder Bay were guests of Mrs. Kathleen Paul- mert on the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. J. Kurtz of Lake Geneva, Wisc., Mr. and Mrs. Earl Netwall of Minneapolis, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. R. Traux of Northfield, Minn. and Mr. and Mrs. E. Mattelmann of St. Miles, Wisc., motored here during the week on a fishing hol- iday. Mr. and Mrs. B. Stellaback of Love Farm, Man., Mr. and Mrs. L.L. Trosse of Winnipeg, Man were holidayers in our village this week. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bruley and family of Thunder Bay spent the weekend at their cottage Mr. and Mrs. G.H. Wood of Ottawa were holi- day visitors here this week. Visitors came from Thunder Bay, Nipigon, Schreiber, and Rossport. Before the rain fell too hard, races and contests were run off for the children. The ball game had to be cancelled. Refreshment booths were offer- ing hot dogs, hamburgers, fresh fried lake y trout, salads and rolls were sold out early 5 in the day. Finally they wound up the activites with " a sing-song, step dancing contests and other entertainment indoors. This activity will be an annual affair. 3 Chief Jerry Bouchard and Mike Wannekamik hi were managing the picnic. Leona Goodchild, \ Paulette Auger and Cathy Bouchard convened the refreshments with Edna Wannekamik as % chairman. A lovely display of Indian Art and & Crafts consisting of leather goods, beaded 4 articles, necklaces and earrings and wood 3 caring was featured.
