Geraldton - July Ist - continued display, Natural Resources, Liars Contest, Molson Log Sawing Contest - open to the women this year, Bingo in the High School: cafeteria, Food booths, and Games of Chance, a huge Beer Gardens and open air dance followed by a dis- play of fireworks. The Labatt's Balloon will be at the festiv- ities all day and will take persons up for a rise throughout the day. Children wishing to go up are to be with an adult. The elementary schools are doing a poster contest sponsored by Mrs. Mary Hamilton and judged by herself and Mrs. Christine Norris. The Hot Air Contest (Liars Contest) will be held in the High School gymnasium this year and is open to all persons over the age of eighteen years. This year there is two hundred dollars in cash prizes donated by Radio Station CBQ. Professionals and politicians are excluded from the cash monies and will have to satisfy their success with one of the Golden Plunger Awards.
