LEADERS & RANGERS ATTEND TRAINING SESSION Last weekend three Leaders and three Rang- ers attended a training session and district meeting in Marathon. Attending were Marilyn Saranpaa, Pam Jones and Barb Wise. The three Rangers were Carla Crockford, Diane Jones and Isle Smith. These three Rangers have been working with Brownie Packs since September 74 and have been in training as Cadets. Due to their small number they will become Cadets and be registered as such in the near future. The training session was a really well planned and interesting part of the day. Ex- cellent trainers were there from Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie and Marathon. The towns a- long the North Shore are very lucky to have Joy Bott as song and dance trainer and Norma Johnson as crafts trainer right in Marathon with their great ideas. The craft time was very enjoyable and each one of the forty-four Blue and Brown Leaders and Commissioners attending learned quite a few novel ideas and tricks of the trade. The everyday cartons and scraps that we normally throw away were used for ingenious crafts th- at could be made by even the smallest Brownie. The meeting was very informative.
