PAGE I4 TERRACE BAY NEWS APRIL 23, 1975 PARKS AND RECREATION TO SPONSOR PLAY The Schreiber Parks and Recreation Committ- ee will sponsor the three act comedy "Nothing Will Be Revealed" on Wednesday, April 30th at 8 p.m. in the Lake Superior High School, Schreiber. The play is a comedy done in the Commedia dell'arte style utilizing masks,mime and music as well as easily identifiable characters. All ages will enjoy the antics of the famous harlequin, the manipulations of the old miser Pantalone, the bravado of the bold Capitano and the innocense and inner sense of the love- ly Isabella. These and other characters are created by this four member company indigenous to North- western Ontario. Their aim to bring live theatre to various communities in the region. The ticket prices are at a vary moderate price, available at the door. In addition, by arrangement with the Kaministiqua Theatre Laboratory, one half of the procceds from tick -et sales will be returned to the community through the local sponsor. C.W.L. INSTALLS NEW EXECUTIVE At their April I3th meeting, the new execu- tive of the Schreiber Catholic Women's League were installed by Father O'Flaherty: Mrs. Laurette McParland, president; Mrs. Teresa Stortini, first vice president; Mrs. Phyllis McParland, second vice president; Mrs. Irene Borutski, recording secretary; Mrs. Marion Henri, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Simonne Connelly, treasurer. Mrs. Val Bourke suggested the daily rosary during May be held in the evening instead of the afternoon. Mrs. McParland reminded members that April 26th is the feat of Our Lady of Good Council. Mrs. Norah McGuire reminded members of the Right to Life meeting. Mrs. Rita McGrath stated she had received a letter from the program "The Church Today" requesting financial assistance. Retiring president, Mrs. Lucette Chicoine thanked those who had worked at the St. Pat- rick's Day supper, and, Mrs. Claire Power who had made and donated the quilt. TOYLAND ON ICE FEATURED AT SKATING CARNIVAL The Schreiber Figure Skating Club, under the direction of Joan LeBlanc, their instruc- tor, staged both an evening and matinee per- formance, attended by a large and sppreciative audience. The program, entitled Toyland on Ice was en -hanced by a background of large toy charact- ers, made by grade 8 students of Holy Angels School, encouraged by Mrs. Anne Wilde. The costumes which were particularly attrac -tive, were as usual, designed and made by the mothers of the skaters and added greatly to the various acts, which included: Little Girl, Tracy Wilde, The Toys Come to Life, Alphabet Blocks, Bouncing Ball by Tammy Walton; Rag Dolls, Raggedy Ann and Andy Doll Party, Dolls, The Wooden Soldiers, Little Drummer Girl, Denise St. Jean; Ballerina Doll, Susan Johnson; Dancing Dolls, Jill-in-the-Box, Melody Ukrain- ec; Candyman, Linda Ross; Toys! Toys! Toys: with Joan LeBlanc in the finale as the Shop- keeper displaying her toys.
