These ser- vices will take a lot of planning especially integrating with services that are already available in the communities. Mr. Harness finished he remarks by stating that his serv- ice on the Board had been rewarding to him, and he felt that the new Board would also gain from working with Senior Citizens. The meeting dealt with many questions from the delegates on the operations of the Board. The Administrator submitted a pamphlet outlin- ing expenditures and receipts of the operat- ions in I974 and also contained data in rela- tion to the area served. There were forty- eight new admissions during 1974, twenty-four to Birchwood Terrace and twenty-four to Pine- wood Court. , The average age of Residents in the Homes as of December 31st is seventy-eight years. One of the oddities of the area is that there are more males over the age of six- ty than females. This is directly opposed to what it is in the rest of Ontario where femal- es over sixty out number males. The inaugural meeting of the Board will be held in early April with the election of off- icers as the first item on the agenda. continued page 5 STRAND THEATRE TERRACE BAY - LRTARIC - -JELEPRONE 325-3771 PRIDAYSSETUR AY 7 & © SUNDAY P.M. 8:30PM.
