All children are invited to attend Announcement of Kimberly-Clark of Canada Limited's financial support of Terrace Bay's new McCausland Hospital was made jointly today by the hospital's board of governors and Grant 1. Puttock, president of Kimberly-Clark of Canada. For each $2.50 donated by residents and bus- inesses to the hospital's building fund, Kim- Ait Merry Christmas Ring out, sing out bearty good wishes for boliday cheer. : Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce Terrace Bay berly-Clark of Canada will contribute $1 ---- up to a maximum of $100,000. This means that if sufficient funds are forthcoming from other private sources, Kim- berly-Clark would contribute about 30 per cent of the $335,000 which the hospital board must raise as its share of the estimated $2 million construction cost of the new hospital. The remainder is paid by the Ministry of Heal- th in the form of a grant. "Modern medical care facilities to serve ; all of the people is of the upmost priority in our growing area", said Mrs. Rena McAdam, chairman of the 1l2-member hospital board. The new hospital, which will replace the ex- isting McCausland Hospital built by Kimberly- Clark 25 years ago and donated to the commun= ity, will also serve the residents of Schreib- er, Rossport and Pays Platt. "Kimberly-Clark has done a great deal for the Terrace Bay area and their latest announc- ement is in keeping with the image they have created as a member of the community in the past", said Mrs. McAdam. In addition to providing regular in-patient care, the new hospital would be designed as a health care complex, including physiotherapy facilities as well as offices for doctors and dentists. continued page 3
