DECEMBER 4, I974 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE I9 PASSENGER VEHICLE LICENCE RENEWAL Starting December 2nd, owners of passenger cars and trailers will be able to obtain their I975 renewal stickers at any of the 296 licen- ce issuing offices throughout the Province, the Ministry of Transportation and Communica- tions announced. This year the validation stickers for pass- enger cars will be green in colour and those for trailers will be black. Fees are the same as for 1974: $23 for a 4-cylinder vehicle; $32 for 6-cylinders; $40 for an 8-cylinder car and $5 for trailers. This is the second year of the multi-year permit and sticker renewal system. With a view of speeding up service in the licence issuing offices, simplified renewal application forms containing an insurance dec- laration have been distributed ahead of time to all provincial L.C.B.O. retail outlets as well as all licence issuing offices. This is to encourage motorists to fill the forms out before going to the licence bureau. Applicants need just present the licence issuer the completed form, together with their multi-year permit and fee. The validated per- mit will be returned together with a valida- tion device that the applicant will be instru- cted to attach to the rear plate of his veh- icle on top of last year's sticker. Deadline for having the new stickers on passenger vehicle licence plates is February 28, I975; for trailer plates March 31, 1975. Failure to affix the sticker by the requir- ed date is an offence under the Highway Traff- ici Act. SKI CLUB ANNUAL MEETING Ski club members and all others interested in skiing are reminded to attend the Terrace Bay Ski Club Annual Meeting, Friday night, December 6th at 7:30 P.M. in the large meeting room of the Recreation Centre. TREVOR THE OPP TRAFFIC BUG WHEN 10 THE REPRE Give YouRsELF Room 710 STEER TODAY'S CHILD BY HELEN ALLEN OTTER, THE TORONTO 51) SYNDICATE Tommy is a lively, uninhibited eight-year-old -- an engaging youngster in both looks and personality. Anglo-Saxon in descent, he is healthy and slim with brown eyes, blonde hair and fair skin. Tommy craves attention so he prefers the company of older people, either children or adults. Because Tommy was restless and easily distracted he spent longer than usual in kindergarten. Last year he was an average Grade One student, and now, in Grade Two, he loves school. A creative boy, he enjoys drawing and coloring. Tommy is interested in music and is now learning card games and chess. If an eight-year-old can be said to have a hobby, Tommy's would be mechanics. Tommy loves camping, fishing and swimming. He plays baseball and is planning to join Cubs. Affectionate Tommy needs much love, along with attention and stimulation. Young involved parents who can be both warm and firm will find him a fine son. Older brothers and sisters (but not younger ones) will be an asset in Tommy's adopting family. To inquire about adopting Tommy, please write to Today's Child, Ministry of Community and Social Services, Box 888, Station K, Toronto M4P 2H2.
