HOLDS CHRISTMAS TEA The din of conversation from the large crowd who attended the Catholic Women's League Chris- tmas tea-bazaar, brought a feeling of that hap- py season to the event. Winners of various draws were: Mrs. Dorothy Tilbury, door prize; Mrs. Nova McBride, toy skidoo; Mrs. Myral Holmes, the large doll; Mrs. Verna LeBlanc, light fruit cake; and Mrs. Arm- ella Comeau, the dark cake. The doilies, cro- cheted by Mrs. Lemieux, were won by Cathy Lem- ieux and the white wool cape, made by Mrs. Ra- cioppi, was won by P. Costa. Kim Bryson, of Terrace Bay, drew the winning tickets. Mrs. Joe Caccamo and Mrs. Joe Speziale were co-covenors for the most successful event, held in the town hall on November 16th. Working in various capacities were Mrs. Charlie Pearson, Mrs. Yves Henry, Mrs. Russell Weaver, Mrs. Jack McCouan, Mrs. Larry Bourke, and Miss All- een Ross at the raffles; Mrs. Eddie Borutski sold Christmas cards and Mrs. Art LeBlanc, Mrs. Paul Cebrario, Mrs. Allan Gilmore and Mrs. Ed- gar LeBlanc were at the Almost-New counter. At the bazaar table were Mesdames Harry Press- cott, Roly Martin, Borden Ross, D'Arcy McGuire and Ed Bourgeois. Attending the candy table were Linda Figliomeni and Mrs. E. Valentino. Mrs. M.J. McGrath, Mrs. Marg Godin, Mrs. S. Ma- ronese, Mrs. S. Chicoine were at the bake tab- le. Serving out-going plates were Mrs. M. Val- entino, Mrs. Beauparlant; and desserts were served by Mrs. Pina Costa and Mrs. Stella Spe- ziale. Tea and coffee were served by Mrs. R. Sisson, Mrs. Bill Stefurak and Mrs. G. Cebrar- io. Cashiers were Mrs. H. Spikula and Mrs. Lloyd Small. Janice Martin, Rae Sisson, Kelly and Susan McParland, Gail and Donna Bottomley, Cindy McKay, Cathy and Jolyn Zaporzan, Mary Jo Ryan and Marylyn O'Brien were servitors. In the kitchen were Mesdames Robin Moore, Paul Gauthier, Leonard Huard, John Power, Bill Mul- lins, Bill Cocks, John Gagnon, and T. Jacques.
