Mem- bership Fees will remain at $I.00 per person. . "An'election to fill the position of Vice- President of the Board was held. Bernie Mc- Cracken was elected as Vice-President, replac- ing Barry Stephen who recently resigned from the Board. The Hospital By-Laws regarding Auxiliary representation on the Board was reviewed. A resolution was approved to amend the By-Laws so that the Auxiliary President or a designate thereof could be the Auxiliary representative on the Board. This amendment must now be approved by the membership at the Annual Meet- ing. A local Travel Policy was approved. A new salary scale for the position of Director of Nursing was also approved. A resolution was passed to approve expenses for a Development Committee Study Group visit to the new hospit- al in Red Lake. Accounts for September, I974 in the total amount of $25,769.91 were passed for payment. Under new business the Administrator re- ported on the Notice of Application for Union Certification received from the Ontario Labor Relations Board. No word had been received as yet regarding the outcome of the applica- tion before the O.L.R.B. ; A request to purchase a new electric type- writer for the Administration Office was app- roved. The next regular meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, November I9th, I974 in the basement of the Schreiber Municipal Building. RECREATION NEWS OPEN MEETING --- RINGETTE ASSOCIATION: This Thursday, November 7th, an open meet- ing will be held in the Conference Room of the Recreation Centre to start on plans for the Ringette programme. : Hopefully, some adults will be interested enough to see this programme "operate" and volunteer their time to help out in some way. The meeting will start at 6:30 P.M.) LEVEL II HOCKEY COACHES CLINIC - NOVEMBER Sths Are you interested in becoming certified as a "Level II" coach? Are you interested in be- coming updated in your coaching techniques and theory? If you are, the opportunity is av- abilable this coming Saturday, November 9th in Terrace Bay. The Clinic is a day long programme, design- ed for all coaches, allowing exposure to a variety of topics presented by some of the top coach-instructors in Canada. There are lectures, discussions, films, slides and ice sessions in the clinic which saw 2,400 coaches certified in I973-74. For $8.00, the coach receives a coaching package, lunch and certificate and crest. Refer to the ad below for details. Plan to attend. HOCKEY FOR THE "OLDTIMERS": The Recreation Office has received an in- dication of interest to schedule ice time for those who are interested in playing hockey on a "low key" basis as opposed to a competitive league. This type of programme would oper- ate on a "drop in" basis for those who are in- terested in coming out and perhaps even play with a sponge puck. This programme would be available to the "Oldtimers" and anyone else who may find the Intermediate League too com--- petitive. continued page 9 ..
