Sohn, advis- ing that all terms of District Board Members have been extended until March 3Ist, I975. This will allow the Ministry time to complete the Regulations pertaining to new appointments effective April Ist, 1975. The present board will have the responsib- ility of developing a budget for I975. There were a number of suggestions and recommenda- tions that require attention to improve the quality of life in the homes. The first and major item would be an on-going plan that would convert the present four-to-a-room bed- room as in Pinewood to singles and doubles. This has been proposed by our residents' coun- cil and the board is aware of the exisiting problems with four persons per room. After discussing the report, the board de- cided to request the attendance of Ranta and Tett at their next meeting to review the rec- ommendations made about changes in the homes. In regards to the extension of services in- to the community, it was thought that the municipalities should be informed and their opinions reviewed prior to launching the pro- gramme .
