PAGE 6 TERRACE BAY NEWS OCTOBER 17, 1974 MINOR HOCKEY REGISTRATION Registration of players for the 1974-75 Terrace Bay Minor Hockey Season will take place on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24th from 6:30 fo - 9 P.M. in the Conference Room of the Recrea- tion Centre. Fees this year have begn set at $4.00 each for the first two payers from each family, and $8.50 for more than two players in one family. : Failure to register by the above date will result in a $1.00 late penalty per player with no family deduction. Players and parents are advised to note that it is mandatory that C.S.A. approved helmets and mouthguards be worn this year. TERRACE BAY TOWN TOPICS The Pinewood Court Employees' Association will be holding a Fall Tea and Bake Sale on Wednesday, October 23rd from 2 until 4 p.m. at Pinewood Court, 445 James Street, Thunder Bay South. Tickets are 50 cents each and will be available from all staff or at the home. Mrs. Joe Campbell, 30 Pine Crescent, was one of 8 winners of the Terrace Bay "T.V. Kingo" for September. Mrs. Campbell was the recipient of $250.00. Mr. Paul Cavanaugh of Montreal visited with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ed Cavanaugh enroute to Nelson, B.C. were he has been transferred. Paul's wife and family will follow shortly. To 20 year or more residents of Terrace Bay the surname "Savoye" may ring a bell, as it did to us at the Terrace Bay News Office when a book entitled "Mind Vitamins" arrived last week. i Upon turning to the back cover the follow- ing description of the author was printed - "s.J. Savoye, construction superintendent, sales executive and self-educated man, was born in Limiolou, Quebec, in the thirties and grew up in a small Ontario town, Terrace Bay. Des- pite very limited education, Mr. Savoye found his motivation for success through Glenn W. Turner and his studies of Dr. Napoleon Hill. He says he is today "a millionaire" - not in - wealth but in his happiness with his family and his harmony with the community around him. Mr. Savoye and his wife, Tanya, are the par- ents of Ttodd and Renee and resident in Rex- dale, Ont. Stan is the brother of Mrs. Rosalind Kenney, Terrace Bay. continued page 8 .........
