OCTOBER I7, I974 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE I5 AUXILIARY TO THE MCCAUSLAND HOSPITAL A general meeting of the Auxiliary to the McCausland Hospital was held on September I6th at 8 p.m. in the library of St. Martin's School} in Terrace Bay. There was some discussion re the September 30th meeting of District I2A of the Hospital Auxiliary Association meeting in Thunder Bay. Several ladies planned to attend. It was moved by L. Harris and seconded by G. Sidhu that we order membership cards now in order to hold our membership drive in November this year. M. Stephen will be membership con- vener in Terrace Bay and D. Kirkpatrick in Schreiber. A list of volunteer services will be distri- buted to incoming patients at the hospital. A letter was received from the "Sound In- vestments" confirming May IOth booking for our dance. The order of an electric bed has been delay- ed while we await firm estimates. The president, Joan Nugent suggested that someone other than the auxiliary president be appointed to serve on the hospital, because of the heavy work load of both jobs. It was decided to invite members of the board to dis- cuss this with us at our next meeting since it would entail an amendment to their By-Laws. A letter of thanks was sent to Ruth Spadoni for her donation of an afghan and matching pillow. The next meeting of the auxiliary will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 21st, in the Lake Superior High School, Schreiber Campus Library. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. M. Chepelsky were their son Michael and Miss Rachel Purdy of Iroquois Falls; and daughter Kristine and her husband Farrel Burnham of Ottawa.
