Mrs. Anne Todesco is home after being a patient in McCausland Hospital, Terrace Bay the past two weeks. Edward Kenney of Elgin, Ontario is visiting his brother Ray and Mrs. Kenney and they were successful in obtaining a moose each. Mrs. Cecilia Somers of Espanola is visit- ing Mrs. C.W. Todesco. Mrs. Esther Seppala, daughter Lorraine and Floyd Harnden holidayed in Eastern Ontario last month. ; Mr. and Mrs. David Iddison and son Jason of Toronto are visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. D. Mushquash and other relatives here. Mr. Iddison was successful in bagging a moose a few days after arrival. Mrs. G. Bruley and Mrs. Doran of Thunder Bay were recent visitors to the village. Mr. and Mrs. Herb Legault are holidaying with relatives at the Lakehead." Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Lanigan were business visitors to Thunder Bay and Mr. and Mrs. Felix Legault have returned from a fortnight's holiday at Fort Frances. Mr. and Mrs. Thor Olsen of Nackawic visit- ed Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Kenney while enroute to Vancouver. Ollie Sundland has returned from a business trip to Thunder Bay and Chuck Henderson has left on a short holiday. ALTAR SOCIETY MEETING: The St. Berchman's Altar Society began their fall pro- jects and meetings when they met at Mrs. Felix Legault's home Wednesday evening after Mrs. Camilla Legault welcomed the members after their holiday season activities. Reports were heard on church and cemetery maintenance work. Thanks was given also to all who had worked for the village church and its projects. Tickets were passed out for sale on a blanket, ten dollars and five dollar prizes. Thank you cards and letters were read by Mrs. Schelling. Following adjournment, Mrs. Agnes Legault served a lovely lunch and a social hour was enjoyed. Mrs. Prina Gerow invited the mem- bers to her home for the October meeting.
