HEATING OIL PRICE SET The Board of Management of the District of Thunder Bay Homes for the Aged held their reg- ular monthly meeting on September 20th, I974 at Pinewood Court with all members in attend- ance. Accounts were approved for the two homes, Pinewood Court and Birchwood Terrace in the amount of $I42,000 for the months of July and August. = Progress billings were authorized to Barnett-McQueen for $21,000 and $7,000 payment is to be released on the Mechanical contract. The new price for heating oil for Birchwood Terrace will cost 35.7 cents per gallon for the contract year of October I, I974 to Sep- tember 30, I975. The board authorized the purchase of a col- our television subject to ministry approval prior to any purchase. Bids will be sent out to local suppliers. Applications for eight residents were approved for admission. The Management Contractors, Barnett-McQueen have informed the board that completion of the project will be made by September 27th, I974.
