BRUCE SCOTT HONOURED ON 2594 WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Friends, neighbours and relations gathered together last Friday evening to honour Mr. and Mrs. T. Bruce Scott on the occasion of their 25th Wedding Anniversary. The surprise party held in the Scott home was hosted by Mrs. Audrey Hara with co-hostess- es Fern Luke and Jeanine Desrosiers. Many lovely gifts were presented to Bruce and Del and a cake had been suitably inscribed. A delicious lunch was served during the evening. Those who came from Thunder Bay to celebrate with Bruce and Del were their daughter and fam- ily - Mr. and Mrs. J. Tremblay, Terry Lynn and Kevin; Bill and Tanis Ferguson (brother); Es- ther Gilroy (aunt); Patty Gilroy; Hank and Delores Epp (bridesmaid at their wedding) with their children Lbri and Kristie. Bruce thanked everyone for coming on behalf of himself and Del. They had received phone calls from their daughter Suzie and son Ken the evening before. SHOWER HONOURS' BRIDE-ELECT Joyce Cornfield, whose wedding will take place on Saturday, September 28th, was the guest of honour at a lovely Bridal Shower on Tuesday evening in the Community Church Hall. Joyce, with her mother, Mrs. Evelyn Corn- field and her fiance's mother, Mrs. Marg Santerre were presented with rosebud corsages prior to taking their place at the"door to receive guests on arrival. Brenda Cornfield was in charge of the guest book. Guests were seated at individual tables with tiny floral centerpieces. The lace covered table held a floral center -piece flanked by pink tapers in crystal can- delabra. Joyce was seated with her gifts nearby in a pink and white Wishing Well. She was assis- ted in opening her many lovely gifts by her sister Brenda and Lorraine Dobush. During the opening of the gaily wrapped parcels, tea and coffee, sandwiches and small cakes were served by co-hostesses Mrs. Cora Ropchan, Mrs. Peggy Regis, Mrs. Joanne Moore, -and Miss Jeannie Tychoniak, assisted by Mrs. Peggy Thompson and Mrs. Carol Hansen.
